Five Minutes of Shame - A Lifetime of
Glory
Five Minutes is a long time if you’re spending it doing
something that doesn’t feel right or makes you like a little shame-faced
nancy. But if you’re doing something that you’ve always wanted to do
in front of an eager audience, then 5 minutes is a drop in the bucket.
And what is easier than performing for a group of friends who know and
love you? Nothing. It’s simplicity at its finest.
The Five
Minutes of Shames™ competition, basically an open-mic/open-stage
opportunity for the crowd, was vastly successful in that the people that got up
enjoyed themselves, entertained the crowd, and were heavenly to meet. Not
pictured amongst Vic Thrill and Roberta (pictured to the right) are the juggler
and the guy from Moonshine Messiahs who rocked and rolled in a little impromptu
ditty.
Plans for future Five Minutes include bobbing for
penis pastry, live body disfiguration, and lessons in Anatomy & Physiology.
